This creative visualisation activity (for children aged 4-10) shows how to be a good friend — how it feels and how to do it!
Many children struggle with being a good friend and these struggles can continue into later life. The imaginary world feels very real to children and visualisation can positively reshape children’s brain maps if used frequently and affect their everyday thoughts, words and actions.
This track will be particularly useful for children who are struggling socially (ie being overly bossy, very shy, not sharing, or being aggressive to other children). If children know how to be a good friend they will be happier. This has been very helpful in early years’ classes that have have had children who were being bullies or timid and reclusive.
Warning: not to be used when driving or operating machinery.

My daughter was having some friendship problems and by listening to this lovely visualisation she was able to use some strategies when next socialising. Will definitely revisit if issues arise again, as the language used was very easy for my 4 year old to understand.

Excellent! A very positive and supportive visualisation that’s easy to follow. There are many kids meditations/ calming stories/ visualisations out there: this is one of the best I’ve heard.
