Top Tips: Family friendly games (not online or digital)

A recurring theme is how can we help our kids master disappointment and learn to ‘lose’ well?

Games are a wonderful way for kids to learn how to win and lose well. The under five age is a really important window in which children can learn about disappointment and, even more importantly, how to manage it.

At team Maggie we love the game ‘Spot It’ ….a game the whole family can play. Fast paced so it’s great for practicing winning and losing, with a quick recovery time before the next game starts.

We reached out to our online community for their favourite family friendly games – not online or digital.

We’ve compiled a list from the responses and hope it gives you some great ideas.

Please note these games are not personally endorsed/recommended by Maggie, but rather a community collaboration. The games are available at most toy shops, game shops and online retailers.

Also if you haven’t already, please read Maggie’s article on letting your kids fail often, it’s just good parenting. Read Here
