As parents, we often put our own needs last in our efforts to raise kids who are happy, healthy, strong, kind and resilient. But if we don’t care for ourselves, not only do we run the risk of parenting less effectively and compassionately (nothing like a bit of sleep deprivation to bring out the worst in most of us), we are not modelling self-care to our children.
