Maggie’s latest book Help Me Help My Teen is geared towards that turbulent – but often brilliant – time in someone’s life, and Maggie spoke to Alice Zaslavsky to share some of her signature practical advice, on raising teens.
Screen time, social media, body image, school, substances, dating, vaping, jobs, gaming, health, puberty – when it comes to raising teenagers, it’s hard to know where to begin.
And according to Maggie, the actual adolescent period doesn’t automatically finish the moment you hit eighteen.
“We can’t say that you become an adult until [the] executive function of your brain has really matured” Maggie said.
